- Historical Note:
- Norton House was built around 1900 by Professor Lizzie May Allis as a private residence. The house changed ownership several times before being purchased by the college in 1921 and used as a practice cottage, when it was known as Gray Cottage. It was renamed the Alice P. Norton Home Management House in 1929, moved twice, and was eventually used as the headquarters for the Film Production Unit.
