Horticulture Barn (First)

Title:
Horticulture Barn (First)
Description:
Built in 1881 after Professor Budd requested to purchase horses and a barn to house them. The cyclone on April 8, 1882, nearly destroyed the building. An 1883 map shows a small structure just west of Horticulture Hall, assumed to be the Horticulture Barn. In 1897, the Building Committee moved the barn to the gardener's house near the west gate at a cost of $10.
