Historical Note:
The Feeding Barn was built in 1880. Designed by Prof T.L. Smith, the Feeding Barn was constructed under contract with F.S. Whiting at a total cost of $792.10. The barn was authorized for repairs in 1890, funded by Experiment Station resources. In October 1901, a fire originating in the barn destroyed the structure along with the Experiment Station Barn.
