- Fair Oaks Mansion was built by students in 1879 as a small residence on the college farm. It was relocated in 1884 or 1885 and became known as the Bus House, where it was used for student housing in the early 1890s. The building was moved again in 1893 and used as a gardener’s residence. By the late 1890s, the Fair Oaks Mansion had fallen into poor condition and was eventually removed by 1899.
